Break-away swivels give you invaluable protection when pulling either fiber optic or coaxial cable. These simple tools provide an inexpensive fracture point between a pulling line & cable to protect against costly cable damage if the cable's rated pulling capacity is exceeded. Note: GMP strongly suggests ordering additional replacement bolts with swivels to avoid delays in work if the bolt supplied with the unit breaks.
- The 7/8 in. x 4 5/8 in. body is made of high quality aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish for wear resistance.
- Steel thrust washers and bushings insure smooth rotation under load and help to keep twisting forces from reaching the cable.
- Each unit comes with a replaceable color-coded tension bolt. The swivel & bolt are color-coded for identification. The bolt will separate when the pulling load reaches +/-5% of the bolt rating. It can then be replaced using an Allen wrench (included) & screwdriver.
