These forged steel units are used when pulling or tensioning suspension strand. The KleinTools® L, H, and B Strand Pullers feature a fixed and movable jaw linked to a clevis. Applying pull to the clevis causes the jaw in turn to grip the strand.

The Type B Strand Puller (P/N 68490) is designed for tensioning figure-8 cable on 1/4 in. (6-7mm) poly jacketed strand, and designed for pulling loads up to 5000 lbs. (2268kg)

• Works on strand from .20 to .37 in. (5 – 9.4mm)
• Serpentine grooves grip insulation on strand, preventing slippage
• A safety chain permanently secured to a shackle acts as a safety tether in the event the grip disengages

The Model H Strand Puller (P/N 68491) is designed for tensioning strand sizes from 5/16 in. through 5/8 in. (9.5-12.7mm) and for pulling loads that exceed 5000 lbs. but not more than 15,000 lbs. (6818 kg)

• Works on strand from .31 to .62 in. (7.8 – 15.7mm)
• A safety chain permanently secured to a shackle acts as a safety tether in the event the grip disengages

The Chicago Grip for bare wire (P/N 69494) maintains temporary tension until the wire or cable can be permanently terminated.

• Designed for use on aluminum, copper, weatherproof coated wire, PVC covered conductors and messenger and guy strand.
• Locking loop handles allow the jaws to be held in an open position for easy placement on wire or cable.
• Lightweight, especially economical grip.
• Designed for working with solid and stranded bare wire from .08 in. (2mm) to .20 in. (5.1mm).

Grip for High Strength Cables 0.55-Inch (P/N 68495) maintains temporary tension until the wire or cable can be permanently terminated.

• Double ”V” grooves give four-point contact, reducing chance of slipping and providing proper alignment of wire and cable

The Klein Haven’s® Grip  P/N 68493 is designed for use when light, compact grip is desired and where conductor damage is not a factor.

 Maximum cable size is 7/8 in. (22.35mm) and minimum size is 3/8 in. (9.65mm). For pulling loads up to 8000 lbs (3636kg).
