The sonde is a small self-contained transmitter connecting to the duct rod's end. The sonde will help trace the duct route and can also locate duct blockages or collapses.

The sonde’s 33kHz signal is picked up by the receiver. The sonde is only 0.7″ in diameter and will fit into most inner ducts.

The sonde, depending on conditions, can be located up to 13 feet below grade

  • Note: transmitter is active when battery is installed. Remove after use to conserve drainage.
