GMP produces what are the best performing and most durable duct rodders available anywhere – at a price that represents the very best value. Decades of in-field use have proven this high visibility orange rod material to have the ideal combination of the mechanical properties of tensile strength,modulus, stiffness and bending behavior.
- Now available in either standard core or detectable copper core
- When loaded onto our durable yet maneuverable dispenser/carriers these duct rodders are fundamentally essential tools for underground tasks such as cleaning and locating ducts, threading lines or pulling cables
- Rodders come equipped with a male threaded end fitting and tapered head on the leading end and a female threaded fitting on the back end
- Our carriers are made of tubular steel alloy and are powder coated for corrosion resistance. Larger diameter carriers have inboard wheels for easier transport at the jobsite. Each carrier is fitted with a hand-operated brake to control payout.
Note: Duct Rodders are made to order. Verify length and diameter when ordering. Due to custom nature of every Duct Rodder order, all orders are non-returnable. Custom sizes available.

Tonable Ductrodders
The GMP toneable duct rodders are available in 3/8″ and 1/2 ” diameter. Detectable duct rods are used to find, follow and accuratelymap the duct route without digging or trenching. The traceable duct rod is used in conjunction with both a signal transmitter and a receiver. The easily identifiable signal is transmitted along the entire length of the duct rod.
The toneable duct rod has an 18 AWG copper wire, almost twice the size of the competition, in the center of the fiberglass core. The copper wire is also connected to the end fittings so the transmitter leads can make a direct connection to the copper wire. The female end fitting provides the attachment point for the transmitter’s lead connection. The other transmitter lead is connected to a stake driven into the earth. The direct connection of the signal to the copper wire provides the most effective method of signal transmission.
