A useful tool to temporarily Support cables in Manhole vaults while Splicing ends.

These dependable jacks have a curved shoe that fits against the cable, a screw and nut for extending or retracting the shoe and a tubular base.
Available in two shoe diameters; 2 7/8 in. (73mm) and 4 in. (101mm)
Two 15 in. (381mm) extension sections (included) attach to the 25 in. (635mm) main section and screw, allowing you to lengthen the jack
All components have a baked black finish for increased corrosion protection
Additional/replacement extension sections can be ordered separately
Each section has a case hardened steel point for securing against the vault surface. To use, just select the shoe size that corresponds to your cable diameter, fit the shoe on the cable, secure the jack against a vault surface and rotate the nut on the threads. This moves the shoe and positions the cable into the desired location.
